Dr. Vikas Chopra

With over 25 years of experience in interventional cardiology, Dr. Vikas Chopra is one of India’s most trusted and accomplished heart specialists. A graduate of AIIMS, New Delhi, and PGIMER, Chandigarh, he has pioneered modern heart care practices across the country — especially in complex coronary interventions, radial artery angioplasty, and structural heart procedures. Currently heading the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Primus Superspeciality Hospital, Dr. Chopra performs 350–400 angioplasties each year, including high-risk CHIP cases and multi-vessel blockages. He is also an expert in pacemaker and device implantation (ICDs, CRT-Ds), electrophysiology (EP, RFA), and congenital and pediatric interventions.
Dr. Chopra is known not only for his clinical excellence but also for his empathetic, patient-first approach. He has led cardiology departments at top hospitals like Fortis Escorts, Medeor, and QRG Central Hospital, and continues to mentor young cardiologists across India.
A recipient of the prestigious FSCAI Fellowship (USA), Dr. Chopra has authored 20+ research papers and is often invited to speak at national and international cardiology forums.
